Creating an app for the UK’s first digital bank
The UK’s first digital only bank built exclusively for your smartphone or tablet. Atom needed an intuitive, uniquely personal app experience that would help make banking easy, enjoyable whilst also reflecting their energetic brand.
The logo consists of 3 graphic lozenges that represent fragments of DNA. Using an algorithm, we were able to create a totally unique Atom logo for each customer. This meant that the app experience had to be flexible enough to use whatever unique combination of colours had been generated.
The elements within the app live within a 3d space, enabling the use of depth with page design, transitions and interactions. Biometrics were an important aspect of the app to provide secure access. Incorporating face and voice recognition we were able to create fast and secure access for the user. Alongside the visuals of the mobile app screens, detailed guidelines were also created to aid the development of the application (for both IOS and Android).
